9.2024 letter regarding possible bed bug activity at the library

Facts About Bed Bugs
1. Bed bugs are small, flat insects measuring less than 7 mm (~1/4”) in size.
2. Bed bugs do not jump or fly.
3. Bed bugs typically feed at night, and hide during the day.
4. Bed bugs do not transmit disease; therefore they are not considered a health risk.
5. Evidence of bed bugs include tiny blood spots on mattresses, or a substance that looks like coffee grounds in books, around vents or other hiding places.
